Writers Guild Sets Timeline For 2026 WGA Awards

The WGA has typed up the timeline for its 78th annual Writers Guild Awards.

The guild stated in June that its traditional twin ceremonies in Los Angeles and New York will likely be held on Sunday, March 8 — per week earlier than the Oscars — on the JW Marriott and Edison Ballroom, respectively. At this time it revealed dates for nominations, the voting durations and submission deadlines. See the total timeline beneath.

The statuettes offered by the WGA West and WGA East honor the 12 months’s greatest in movie, TV, new media, information, radio and promotional writing. The highest prizes at the 2025 Writers Guild Awards went to Anora, Nickel Boys, Hacks, Shōgun and The Penguin.
